Can I get a dental appointment today?

The earlier in the day you call, the more flexibility we have, but we accommodate same-day requests throughout the day including evening hours.
What dental problems can you treat the same day?
Most dental problems can be evaluated and treated the same day, including toothaches, broken or chipped teeth, lost fillings or crowns, dental infections and abscesses, extractions, emergency root canals, and new patient exams. Some complex cases may require a follow-up visit, but we start treatment the same day whenever possible.
Do I need to be an existing patient for a same-day visit?
No. New patients are welcome for same-day visits. We handle registration quickly when you arrive. Bring your insurance card and ID if you have them, but do not delay coming in because of missing paperwork if you are in pain.
How much does a same-day dental visit cost?
The cost depends on what treatment you need. An emergency exam with x-rays is the starting point, and any procedures (fillings, extractions, etc.) are additional. Most insurance plans cover emergency exams and medically necessary treatments. We verify your benefits and give you a cost estimate before starting any work. Financing is available for unexpected dental expenses.
Can you do a same-day dental implant?
In many cases, yes. If your consultation and CT scan show you are a good candidate with adequate bone density, Dr. Bhatia can place the implant the same day. The placement procedure takes about 45 minutes. Not all cases qualify for same-day placement, but Dr. Bhatia will let you know immediately after evaluating your scan.
What should I do before coming in for a same-day visit?
Call us at (714) 998-4151 so we can prepare for your visit and minimize your wait time. If you are experiencing swelling, you can apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek. Take over-the-counter ibuprofen for pain if you are able to. Bring your insurance card, ID, and a list of medications you take.
What are your same-day appointment hours?
We offer same-day appointments during all regular office hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and Tuesday and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. We are closed on weekends. For the best availability, call as early in the day as possible.
What if my problem happens on the weekend?
Our office is closed on Saturday and Sunday. If you have a dental emergency on the weekend, go to your nearest emergency room for severe pain, uncontrolled bleeding, or facial swelling that is spreading. For non-life-threatening issues, call our office and leave a message. We will return your call first thing on the next business day and prioritize getting you in.
